Conference Evaluations (2000)
"Navigating the Next Generation"
Third Annual CUNA OpSS Council Conference
September 27-30, 2000 * Portland, Oregon
High-level sessions and top-notch speakers brought many credit union operations
professionals to Portland, Oregon this past September for the third annual CUNA OpSS Council Conference. Participants gathered to learn all the latest on sales
and customer service and also to have some good old-fashioned fun. As you can
see from the evaluation scores and comments, speakers hit the mark and attendees
learned to "navigate the next generation", both from the experts and each other.

Overall Conference Comments
- I enjoyed the content and found it much more useful this year. I think this
council is on the right track.
- A well prepared program addressing timely, relevant issues. Networking is
the best with roundtable and panel discussions providing helpful ideas and
information - the sharing of operational issues, problems and solutions.
- Very good conference. Informative and enjoyable.
- I'll recommend the council involvement at all levels to my CEO.
- Great conference - I liked the majority of the presenters - good focus!
- Thought we started too early but conference overall was excellent. Good
speakers.
- Excellent.
- Fantastic. Money well spent.
- Last session (scorecards) was the best for usability of any size CU.
- This was my first exposure to this Council (my boss passed his membership
to me), and I was very impressed.
- Excellent. I will look forward to the next one.
- Great!
- Enjoyed the interaction with other CU participants, as I am fairly new to
CU. I was very impressed with how similar the CUs work together and how progressive.
- I liked the round tables where we shared info. and asked each other questions.
It would be nice to have a bio on each credit union with where we are on types
of products/services technology so we could find each other at breaks and
lunches to ask each other specific questions.
- Great organizational job of putting everything together and very well done.
A few suggestions: - I would have liked info on credit unions participating,
maybe include e-mail addresses.
- This was my first year attending. It was excellent. I'm on info overload
but loving it. Will be studying info on Monday.
- Very well organized. Daily outline and material in our central binder.
- I liked the agenda. The conference was well organized and enjoyable. The
greatest value was from networking. Good job. My only other comment would
be that some discussions seemed to be weighted toward branch operations versus
longer issues faced in the industry.
